Fundfire managing editor Danielle Verbrigghe sent out the following announcement on Friday:
Hi everyone, I’m writing to let you know that Alyson Velati’s last day at FundFire will be Thursday, July 8. After six years with Money-Media, Alyson is leaving to take a job covering hedge funds at Business Insider.
Alyson first joined the company as a reporter at MandateWire in 2015 and moved over to FundFire the following year, eventually advancing to senior reporter. She has been a huge asset to the team, producing excellent work covering first the consultants beat and then the wealth management beat. Alyson has been a great team player, always willing to help out colleagues and taking on additional responsibilities editing distributor profiles while mastering her coverage areas.
Velati was also a freelance editor at Standard & Poor’s and is a SUNY-Purchase graduate.
