Luke Torrance, a reporter at the Tampa Bay Business Journal, has left the paper to go to graduate school.
He had been covering money and public companies and joined the paper in 2020 from the Pittsburgh Business Times. Both are owned by American City Business Journals.
Before joining the Pittsburgh publication in late 2019, Torrance previously worked as a reporter for Blank Slate Media, covering the Port Washington, New York, area. He wrote most of the stories that appeared in the Port Washington Times, as well as shooting most of the photos and writing the headlines for the stories in that paper.
He also covered the Nassau County government for stories featured in all Blank Slate Media papers.
Torrance is an Ohio University graduate with a major in journalism and a minor in political science.
