Kamelia Angelova, who has been in charge of Business Insider’s video operations, has been hired as director of emerging platforms at Mashable.
She will start Oct. 10. Her task is to expand the Mashable’s production of original video and visual storytelling on Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Prior to joining Mashable, Angelova led Business Insider video division and built Tech Insider’s video operation. In both roles, she was instrumental in developing Business Insider’s overall video strategy, having worked with the company for close to eight years.
Kamelia earned a master’s degree in journalism from New York University and a BA in political science from Hunter College.
She will be based in Mashable’s global headquarters in New York.
