CoinDesk has hired Bloomberg News reporter Jesse Hamilton to cover regulation in Washington.
His title is deputy managing editor for global policy and regulation.
Hamilton started on Monday. He has been with Bloomberg for more than 11 years.
He’s won several national awards in his reporting career, which included a stint as a war correspondent in Iraq, time as a political journalist chasing presidential candidates and years covering police and courts for newspapers. In Washington, he’s cultivated expertise in the arcane activities of the Federal Reserve, Treasury Department and the many agencies that oversee the flow of money through the U.S. and around the globe.
He previously worked for AM Best Co., the Yakima Daily Herald and the Hartford Courant. Hamilton is a graduate of Western Washington University.
