Barron’s editor in chief David Cho sent out the following on Monday:

All,

We are excited to announce Rebecca Ungarino is joining Barron’s as the newsroom’s Wall Street reporter.

Rebecca comes to us from Business Insider, where she served as a senior finance reporter covering asset management companies and other Wall Street firms. She produced several scoops on BlackRock, including a look inside the firm’s secretive consulting arm, Larry Fink’s succession plans and a piece detailing the boys’ club culture at the top. She also covered the wealth management industry and private equity, writing deep dives on the culture of brokerage BTIG, Merrill Lynch and allegations of mistreatment at PIMCO.

Rebecca has been at Business Insider since 2018. Before that, she worked at CNBC, where she served as an on-air producer, while writing stories about markets and investing. Rebecca, who lives in Brooklyn, graduated from Baruch College, where her major was business journalism. She notes she is a proud third-generation CUNY student.

Please join us in welcoming her to Barron’s.
