Yasmin Tayag has joined The Atlantic as a staff writer. Tayag will continue to cover the pandemic but will also report on the future of food, and its intersection with science and culture. She began Nov. 8.
Tayag worked at Medium as lead editor, Medium Coronavirus Blog; founding editor of Future Human, a publication about the science shaping human survival; and senior editor at OneZero and Elemental.
She served as a senior science editor, staff writer, associate science editor and science editor at Inverse.com. She also contributed to the Scientific American.
Tayag has a B.S. from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree from New York University.
