Texas publisher appoints Lawson digital and deputy editor

Maria Lawson

Maria Lawson will join People Newspapers, a Texas-based publisher, as digital and deputy editor. She will work across the publisher’s monthly newspapers Park Cities People and Preston Hollow People.

Lawson begins on May 16.

Lawson recently served as editor-in-chief of the North Texas Daily, the University of North Texas’ student paper. There, she served as an arts and life writer, senior staff writer and arts and life editor.

She  previously interned at D Magazine.

Lawson is a graduate of the University of North Texas.
