Tim Gruver, a reporter covering public policy at the Albany Democrat Herald sent out the following Tweet announcing his departure from the news industry:
“It’s with a heavy heart that I want to tell you today I’m leaving the news industry for the long-term future. It’s the last thing I want, but extenuating circumstances over recent months—and maybe years—have shown me working in this business is unsustainable.”
Previously, Gruver has reported for the Franklin News Foundation, the International Examiner in Greater Seattle and Washington Newspaper Publishers Association. He was also an intern at Politico.
Gruver graduated from the University of Washington.
