The Triad Business Journal is looking for a skilled and motivated journalist to cover real estate, construction and economic development, three of our most important and exciting beats.
Our geographic coverage area is the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, a beautiful and growing area of the state that includes the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point.
That the ideal candidate needs to be an excellent writer and accurate reporter is obvious. To truly be a successful Business Journal reporter, the candidate needs to be proactive in developing sources and building relationships in their coverage area that will ultimately yield a steady stream of breaking news stories.
The successful candidate should excel at, and derive satisfaction from, getting stories first and explaining the significance to our readers in a clear and intelligent manner. Experience is a plus, but the ability to learn and grow is even more vital.
Specific duties include reporting and writing multiple postings for our website each day, while contributing stories and in-depth centerpieces to our weekly print edition and occasional special sections.
Interested candidates should send resume and clips to the editor, Mark Sutter, at msutter@bizjournals.com
