Hearst Connecticut seeks business presentation editor

Hearst Connecticut Media is seeking a highly versatile and inventive presentation editor with a strong combination of design, headline writing, copy fitting and digital skills to take our business coverage to a new level of quality and reader engagement.

Candidate must be comfortable producing a high volume of print pages on tight deadlines, showcasing stylish design and sophisticated use of text, for five daily newspapers in Fairfield County.

Digital skills, including social media and basic knowledge of infographics and data visualization, are a must as we take our products into the future. Monday-Friday schedule, all day-side.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
