You know what makes a great story, and have an endless ability to generate story ideas across a range of beats and topics, and the desire to help ambitious reporters grow and develop their craft.
You should be intimately familiar with the companies and industries that drive the American and global economies, and how these are changing. A deep knowledge of financial markets and products is a must. You should also be well-versed in consumer trends and habits, and have ideas how to shape coverage that matters to and informs a wide audience.
