Marketers are the core of our audience at Ad Age, the leading source of news, information and analysis for the marketing and media industry
We’re looking for a dynamic, self-starter to cover major marketers at the cross-section of the commerce and service industries, including retail, financial and insurance. From American Express to Gap and Nationwide, these marketers spend billions each year to attract consumers’ attention, dollars and loyalty. It’s a fiercely competitive marketplace and a high-profile beat that produces some of our best-read coverage.
The successful candidate will be a strong news reporter with the ability to read a financial report and tease out the marketing angle from broader corporate news. Candidates must also have an interest in understanding advertising agencies and media businesses and how they impact marketers.
The role involves breaking news, spotting trends and explaining what matters to readers through deeper dives. Source-building skills and attention to detail are essential. Candidates will be expected to produce content for online, print and video formats. Ad Age is a fast-paced, deadline-oriented organization and we’re looking for journalists who can thrive in it.
We are currently pursuing candidates located in either New York or San Francisco.
