Emma Bazilian of Adweek interviewed Fox Business Network‘s global market editor Maria Bartiromo about her media consumption habits.

Here is an excerpt:

What’s the first information you consume in the morning?
It varies. Usually I’ll check the performance of the international markets. Then I’ll look online and through Wall Street research reports to figure out what is setting the tone for the markets that day.

How do you get your news?
TV, major newspapers—I read The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, New York Post, Financial Times—and I also get news online, on my iPad and phone, from magazines and by calling sources.

Tell us about your social media habits. What are your go-to platforms?
I use Twitter, Google Plus and Facebook. I’m on Instagram but haven’t posted enough of my pictures. I have been an avid photographer for a long time and have taken some great pictures from all over the world, but I tend to save them and look at them myself rather than posting them online.
