President Donald Trump has appealed a judge’s ruling last week dismissing a defamation suit against The Wall Street Journal, reports Alyssa Ray of The Wrap.

Ray reports, “In the document, which was filed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the president’s legal team wrote, ‘Notice is hereby given that Plaintiff President Donald J. Trump, by and through his undersigned counsel, appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit from the Court’s October 31, 2026 Order, which granted Defendants’ Motion to Dismiss and dismissed the First Amended Complaint, with prejudice, and from all prior orders and rulings that merge into that final disposition.’

“‘This appeal is taken pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1291 and Rules 3 and 4 of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure,’ the filing continued. ‘The order appealed from is a final decision disposing of all claims to all parties.’

“Representatives for the Wall Street Journal did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.”
