Canada’s public broadcaster is launching a slate of new personal finance programming under the umbrella CBC Money, reports Nicole Thompson of The Canadian Press.

Thompson reports, “CBC says the content dedicated to ‘money matters’ will launch next year, with programming ‘across entertainment and news’ on TV, radio and online.

“It will include a new video series from CBC Radio’s ‘Cost of Living’ hosted by business journalist Paul Haavardsrud, offering practical tips.

“CBC Money will also feature new personal finance entertainment shows.

“The broadcaster says existing programming, such as ‘Dragon’s Den,’ will also fall under the CBC Money umbrella.

“It says it’s hiring 16 new journalists to support the initiative, including nine who will work out of a new studio in downtown Calgary.”
