Modern Healthcare reporter Rachel Cohrs has been hired by STAT to cover health care policy.
She starts next week and will be based in Washington.
Cohrs covered health policy and politics for Modern Healthcare in Washington. She previously wrote about prescription drug pricing policy for Inside Washington Publishers. She also worked for The Dallas Morning News, the Austin American-Statesman and the Sacramento Bee. Her work also appeared in The Atlantic and other outlets.
Cohrs has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California
