The South Florida Business Journal has hired Michael Adams as its managing editor.
Emon Reiser of the Business Journal writes, “In this role, Adams will oversee newsroom operations under the direction of Editor-in-Chief Mel Meléndez.
“His responsibilities include supervising and editing reporters, and the distribution of vital business news across publishing platforms such as online, mobile, email, print and social media.
“‘This position is a key one for our organization, so it took some time to find the ideal candidate for this role,’ Meléndez said. ‘We’re very pleased to have identified someone with such a successful track record of leading strong editorial teams.’
“Adams, who has a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, comes to the Business Journal after working at the Austin American-Statesman for nine years. He fulfilled various roles throughout his tenure there, including community sports editor, design editor and Sports Bridge editor.”
