Ritchie leaving Bloomberg TV Canada

Pamela Ritchie

Pamela Ritchie, one of the original anchors of Bloomberg TV in Canada when it launched last year, is leaving the network.

Ritchie has been anchor of “The Daily Brief” for the past year.

The one-hour program provides an in-depth look at the day’s market action and where investors find value. It airs weekdays at 4 p.m. on Bloomberg TV Canada.

Prior to joining Bloomberg TV Canada, Ritchie anchored and reported for BNN’s flagship morning show “The Street.” She also spent three years as an anchor, reporter and producer at Dubai’s “Evening Business News.”

Ritchie is a graduate of King’s College and holds a master’s degree from American University in Cairo.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
