Jody Godoy will be joining Reuters Legal this week as its new legal reporter covering the securities and banking beat.
Previously, Godoy was with Law360 for more than five years, joining as reporter covering securities law, bankruptcies and related topics. She also covered data privacy, consumer protection, product liability and insurance law.
Later on, she was promoted to the post of senior white-collar reporter at the company.
Godoy has also worked as a reporter at Kyodo News covering breaking news and reporting longer trend pieces at Kyodo News bureaus in Los Angeles and New York. She has also worked freelance for The Japan Times and was an English teacher at Japan Exchange and Teaching Program.
Godoy is a B.A. in English literature and philosophy from Azusa Pacific University.
