Roger Harris, assistant business editor for the Knoxville News Sentinel, reports that a new radio show aimed at small businesses is starting in the area.
Harris wrote that “Business on Demand” is a 30-minute talk show that started Saturday and is hosted by Robert Minter.
Harris reported, “Many small-business owners are so busy running their companies they have a hard time keeping up with all the contracts offered for bid, said Minter, supply diversity coordinator for Knox County.
“‘With this show, when they’re in their cars on Saturday afternoons they can tune in and get the information they need,’ Minter said.
“Although he is a county employee, Minter emphasized that ‘Business On Demand’ is not a government-sponsored project.
‘I’m doing this on my own. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,’ he said.
“Each week, Minter and guests will talk about bids being sought by private companies, Knoxville and Knox County governments, Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation, Public Building Authority, Knox County Schools, KUB and other public agencies.”
