Olivia Barrow, the Milwaukee Business Journal’s manufacturing, travel and tourism reporter, is leaving the paper after one year.
Barrow said she plans to freelance and pursue some long-form projects for the foreseeable future.
She was named one of LinkedIn’s top writers for 2015 based on her level of reader engagement and fast follower growth.
Barrow previously worked at the Dayton Business Journal, also an American City Business Journals newspaper, before joining the Milwaukee paper in August 2015. She had worked there for three years covering real estate and downtown and had been a senior reporter.
Barrow is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She interned at the Triangle Business Journal in Raleigh while in college.
While at UNC-CH, Barrow worked for The Daily Tar Heel.
