Marketwatch.com hires LaMagna to cover personal finance

Marketwatch.com personal finance editor Angela Moore sent out the following announcement on Monday:

Hello all! I’m happy to announce that Maria LaMagna has joined the personal finance team. If the name is familiar it’s because she was an intern here two years ago. After leaving MarketWatch she was at Bloomberg working on the Bloomberg View desk. In her pre-MarketWatch days Maria interned at Cat Fancy*, the Miami Herald, CNN.com and was the editor in chief of the Daily Northwestern.

She’ll be based in New York and her beat is TBD — we’ll throw a bunch of stuff at her and see what sticks.

Please give her a warm MarketWatch welcome, make her glad she came back!
