Katherine Khashimova Long has joined the Seattle Times where she will report on real estate and the ports. She was a researcher for Vox Media prior to her role at the Times. Long was also an editorial intern at The Stranger, as well.
Long has reported from Central Asia, Turkey, Cyprus, Seattle, and more. She has also garnered awards such as a Fulbright Research Award, and she was a Marshall Scholarship finalist, as well. Long graduated from Brown University in 2015, where she was a senior staff writer for Brown Daily Herald. Long also graduated from the Columbia Journalism School’s investigative specialization in 2019.
