Previously, she was working as a digital host/producer for Zazoom Media Group where she pitched, wrote and edited digital news video content for topics, including money, consumer, business, tech, entertainment, culture, politics and lifestyle.
Her work has also been featured on USA Today, Time, Fortune, People and more.
Currently, she is also the executive producer and writer for $hares, an originally produced animated finance series dedicated to helping millennials make money work for them. The series has been featured on BuzzFeed, BoldTv, R29 Unbothered, and more.
Abellard has also worked as a freelance video producer at TheGrio and was a News 12 intern and freelance assignment desk editor at News 12 the Bronx.
She has also anchored thirty-minute live newscast for NYU TV, reported and edited original news packages, written broadcast scripts for local news and from CNN News Source, hosted a live interview segment on New Hampshire primary and served as executive producer at NYU NOW.
She has also served as a specialized unit reporting intern at ABC News and held the posts of reporter and reporting intern at NewTV and Cocoa Fab Media Group, respectively.
Abellard is a B.A. in English from Spelman College and holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from New York University.
