Dunn joins Barron’s as enterprise and accountability writer

We are excited to announce Catherine Dunn is joining Barron’s as an enterprise and accountability writer.

Catherine has been a business reporter for the last four years at The Philadelphia Inquirer, where she’s written about corporate tax breaks, opioid litigation, and worker health and safety. Most recently she has edited business and real estate stories.

Previously, Catherine collaborated on the Panama Papers global investigation as a reporter at Fusion, and later worked at Vice News Tonight on HBO as a show writer. Her reporting on the dangers of defective guns was a finalist for the Livingston Awards and a finalist for a Deadline Club award. She has also written for Fortune and Corporate Counsel magazine. Earlier in her career Catherine was a writer and editor at an English-language magazine in Mexico City.

Catherine is originally from Virginia and returned to her home state during the pandemic. She enjoys wandering around bookstores, spotting neighborhood wildlife, and going on walks with her dog Birdie. She’s also a volunteer counselor with the Princeton Summer Journalism Program for low-income high school students.
