Duffy to cover sportswear at Portland Biz Journal during Kish absence

Clare Duffy

Clare Duffy has recently joined the Portland Business Journal and will cover sportswear for the paper while Matthew Kish is at Columbia University on Knight-Bagehot fellowship.

Kish writes:

While I’m away, the Business Journal’s coverage of sportswear, banking and general assignment news won’t miss a beat.

Reporter Clare Duffy recently joined the newspaper. In my absence, she will write the bulk of the Business Journal’s coverage of Nike, Adidas, Columbia Sportswear, Under Amour and others. She’s already written about this year’s class of Doernbecher Freestyle designers and profiled former Nike designer Mike Friton.

Duffy is a recent graduate of the University of Portland where she was the news and managing editor of The Beacon, the student newspaper.
