Dow Jones MediaDow Jones & Co., the parent of The Wall Street Journal, Marketwatch.com and Barron’s, sent out the following to its employees on Monday:

Pride@DJ, a new organization for LGBTQ employees at Dow Jones, has officially launched and is welcoming new members.

Similar to the successful efforts of Women@DJ, Pride@DJ will bring together lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer employees across Dow Jones, and provide a community of professional growth and support.

Among the group’s goals:
Foster conversation and feedback on Dow Jones coverage of LGBTQ issues
Encourage recruitment, mentoring and advancement of LGBTQ employees
Host panels, volunteer programs and gatherings at offices across the company
Represent Dow Jones at conferences and events
Communicate with the company on policies that affect LGBTQ employees
Promote an inclusive and diverse workplace

Since employees informally launched the group two months ago, Pride@DJ has grown through word-of-mouth, with members from more than ten offices – large and small – joining, including: New York, Washington, London and Hong Kong.

Interested in joining?
Email the group’s administrators at pride.dj@dowjones.com or join a LGBTQ mixer coming to an office near you. The first event will be held near the New York office, with events in London, San Francisco, and other cities soon to follow. We hope to see you there!
