CNNMoney hires Kludt as new media reporter

CNNMoney executive editor Lex Haris sent out the following announcement on Thursday afternoon:

We have a new reporter joining Team Stelter: Tom Kludt starts on Monday.
Tom comes to us from Talking Points Memo where he’s done a wide range of breaking news and analysis. He has also demonstrated that he’s smart, fast, and has a sharp ear for news.
For us, he’s going to be keeping a close eye on cable news and covering the ever-changing business models of new media companies.
We’ve seen how our media coverage has come to life with the addition of Frank and Molly. Now it’s about to get even stronger.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
