Dawn Calleja has been named editor of Report on Business, the monthly business news magazine of The Globe and Mail in Toronto.
Calleja replaces James Cowan, who is moving over to be investing and personal finance editor for the newspaper.
She has been deputy editor, handling long-form features and packages. She also writes the magazine’s back-page column, “Last Word,” along with the occasional feature. She has been deputy editor since April 2018.
She previously was a senior editor for Report on Business for 12 years and was also executive editor of the Financial Post business magazine. She also spent five years at Canadian Business magazine.
Calleja is a graduate of Ryerson University and is chair of the Society for the Advancement of Business Editing and Writing Canada chapter.
