The (Raleigh) News & Observer has hired Lars Dolder as a business reporter.
He will be covering retail and main street businesses and helping out with other stories on business desk. He will start Oct. 11.
Dolder has been at the Chatham (N.C.) News & Record for the past year as a staff reporter specializing in state and municipal governments, police and feature writing. He also has been writing a weekly business column, “Enterprising Chatham.”
He also has an occasional column called “Out of the Dolderums.”
Dolder previously was a ghostwriter of finance books for financial executives. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University in mathematics.
