Forbes signs deal to launch Forbes Australia

Forbes announced Wednesday a licensing agreement with Success Publishing Pty Ltd. to launch Forbes Australia.

Forbes Australia will launch in 2022 and include digital, magazine, conferences and events.

Forbes Australia include Forbes stories from around the world, and will also feature local content from the Forbes Australia editorial team.

“Over the years, Forbes has shined a light on entrepreneurs and business leaders in Australia through our various lists, like 30 Under 30, and global coverage,” said Peter Hung, president of Forbes, in a statement. “Launching an Australian edition of Forbes will allow us to develop an even deeper connection to the business community and audiences in Australia.”

Forbes has 45 licensed editions in 76 countries. Forbes’ presence in the Asia Pacific region also includes Forbes Asia and eight local licensed editions: Forbes China, Forbes India, Forbes Indonesia, Forbes Japan, Forbes Korea, Forbes Mongolia, Forbes Thailand and Forbes Vietnam.

He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
