Bloomberg TV starting markets show in Canada with Jamali

Lily Jamali

Bloomberg TV Canada is readying a new daily business news program called “Bloomberg Markets: Canada” to be hosted by former Reuters TV financial journalist Lily Jamali.

A story on cartt.ca states, “Jamali most recently covered the tech industry and the West Coast for Reuters TV in San Francisco.  She has also reported for NBC News Mobile (English and Spanish) and spent three years at NY1 News.

“Debuting January 23, the 60 minute show will air weekdays at 4:00 PM ET, replacing The Daily Brief in the channel’s schedule.  Bloomberg Markets: Canada promises to provide an in-depth look at the day’s market action and the stories that matter to investors, and is the second Canadian financial news program produced and anchored locally after Bloomberg North.

“‘Lily provides a global perspective that reflects the first-class standard at Bloomberg TV Canada,’ said Bloomberg TV Canada executive producer Michael Bancroft, in the news release.  ‘The demand for worldwide market coverage is ever-increasing, and Lily delivers with the kind of expert analysis and news acumen our viewers have come to rely on.'”
