Bloomberg Industry Group has hired Donna Borak to cover tax issues in New York and New Jersey.
She previously covered banking policy for The Wall Street Journal from the Washington news bureau, and was also a senior economics writer for CNNMoney.
While at The Journal, Borak also focused on Congress and the 2016 presidential election. Previously, she was a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University.
Borak was previously the Federal Reserve reporter for American Banker. While there, her coverage stretched from covering the White House’s plan to reform the government-sponsored enterprises to new global banking regulations, known as Basel III.
Previously, she was a business reporter covering the defense industry for the Associated Press in Washington, where she was an APME nominee for her work on the Walter Reed Medical Center scandal. She began her career as a European economics writer for United Press International, where she filed special reports from Brussels and Hong Kong.
