American Lawyer’s Thomas hired by Reuters

David Thomas, a reporter at American Lawyer, has been hired by Reuters to cover the business of law.

At American Lawyer, Thomas has been covering the business of law, with an emphasis on national and global law firms.

He had been at ALM Media for the past year. Before that, Thomas spent four years at the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. He was also associate editor of Inside U.S. Trade. He was also a reporter at the DeKalb Daily Chronicle.

Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois-Springfield.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
