The Verge is a finalist in the general excellence, news, sports and entertainment category while STAT is a finalist in the general excellence special interest category.
The Economist is a finalist in the podcasting category for three episodes of “The Prince,” hosted by Sue-Lin Wong: “Episode 1: Redder Than Red,” “Episode 2: Hide and Bide” and “Episode 3: Patriot Number One.”
Rest of World is a finalist in the design category for “In the Dark,” “How Chinese Citizens Use Puns to Get Past Internet Censors” and “Welcome to the Ambaniverse.”
The Verge With Epic Magazine is a finalist in the profile writing category for “Searching for Susy Thunder,” by Claire L. Evans.
STAT is a finalist in the public service category for “Death Sentence,” by Nicholas Florko.
ASME will announce the winners of the National Magazine Awards on Tuesday, March 28, at Terminal 5, on West 56th Street in Manhattan.
