The Tampa Bay Times has hired Olivia George to cover transportation and tourism.
George recently graduated from Brown University, where she studied history.
She is a 2022 winner of the Overseas Press Club Foundation Scholar Award. In 2021, she was awarded an Investigative Reporters and Editors fellowship.
George previously interned at The Virginian-Pilot. Before that, she worked on a year-long reporting project about the opioid crisis in Rhode Island.
She was an editor at the Brown Daily Herald and a researcher for Possibly, a sustainability podcast that airs on The Public’s Radio.
