Rob Smith has been hired as editor in chief of the Orange County Business Journal.
He will start on Sept. 14. He replaces Peter Brennan, who has held the position since May 2024.
For the past year, Smith has been executive editor of Formidable Media, a startup media and membership company.
Smith previously was executive editor of Seattle Business magazine and editor in chief of the Portland Business Journal. He was also managing editor and then editor in chief of the Puget Sound Business Journal.
He is a graduate of the University of Oregon.
