Reuters has hired David Hood as a U.S. race and justice correspondent.
He will start on Sept. 2 and be based in Washington.
He has been at Bloomberg Industry Group covering state and corporate taxes, with a focus on equity in the tax code. On the Bloomberg Law desk, he covered DEI and corporate governance.
Hood contributed to an investigative podcast in 2020 about how insurance companies were denying business interruption insurance claims due to the pandemic.
Before Bloomberg, Hood worked at S&P Global Market Intelligence and Inside Washington Publishers.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Hope International University.
