The Financial Times has appointed Anastasiia Stognei to the post of Russia correspondent, based in the Moscow bureau. She will cover Russia’s economy, energy and other beats.
Recently, Stognei was an economic reporter at BBC News in Russia. She co-founded Perestroika, an educational platform on emotional intelligence. She was an economic reporter at The Bell and freelanced for the BBC.
She also worked as a financial reporter at RosBusinessConsulting in Russia, where she produced more than 100 analytical and investigative articles on finance, economy and investment.
Stognei graduated from SOAS University of London.
