The Financial Times is bringing back the Bracken Prize for Young Authors, formerly the Bracken Bower Prize, after a hiatus of several years.
The award encourages emerging young writers and researchers, under 35 years old, to submit a 5,000-word business book proposal. A prize of £15,000 goes to the winner, and two finalist proposals will receive £2,000 each.
It’s free to enter, and the deadline is Sept. 30. In addition to the cash prizes, longlisted entrants also get to take part in masterclasses with editors and publishers, while finalists are invited to the book award dinner and have their work published on FT.com.
