Business Insider’s Nelken-Zitser covering modern life affordability

Joshua Nelken-Zitser

Business Insider has promoted Joshua Nelken-Zitser to correspondent in its London bureau. He will cover a new beat: the affordability of modern life.

Nelken-Zitser has been at Business Insider since 2020. He previously spent five years on the news desk, most recently as a senior reporter, reporting from across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. In 2025, he moved to a new role focusing on first-person journalism and writing features about wealth and spending.

In 2024, he received the Axel Springer Award for Change for Journalistic Piece of the Year and was highly commended at the British Journalism Awards. He is also the author of the forthcoming book, Trauma Bonds: How Generational Trauma Shapes, Divides and Connects Us”, which will be published by HarperCollins in January 2027.

Prior to joining Business Insider, he worked at LBC, contributed to publications including The Independent and Wired, and freelanced as a producer for BBC Radio 2 in London.

Nelken-Zitser is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and City St George’s, University of London.
