He covers the power players and debates defining artificial intelligence, social media, semiconductors, digital privacy and the broader technology industry. His reporting has examined the tech industry’s behind-the-scenes lobbying efforts, candidates’ fundraising in Silicon Valley and lawmakers’ attempts to respond to emerging technologies through congressional oversight and legislation.
Dahlkamp previously reported for the Texas Tribune, where he delivered scoops on the GOP’s effort to redraw the state’s congressional maps and the national redistricting war that followed.
At CNN, he covered breaking political news, including the 2024 presidential election.
Dahlkamp studied cognitive neuroscience and political science at Brown University, and he was the managing editor of The Brown Daily Herald.
