Fortune CEO Nyrkovskaya is leaving

Anastasia Nyrkovskaya

Fortune CEO Anastasia Nyrkovskaya sent out the following on Monday:

Dear Colleagues –

Today I want to tell you I will be departing Fortune after seven years and leaving my role as your CEO.

It has been the honor of a lifetime and a highlight of my career to lead the 95-year-old Fortune and to work so closely with some of the best people in business journalism today. When I came in 2019, first as Chief Strategy Officer and CFO, we took on multiple challenges together. But because Fortune is home to some of the best editorial talent and commercial executives and staff, we have accomplished great things and expanded the iconic and trusted Fortune brand around the world, as we built new franchises and businesses.

While I have decided to move on to new opportunities, I know I am leaving Fortune in the great hands of senior leadership in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

I remain at the company through the end of the year to help with any transition. A search for the new CEO of Fortune has already begun.

Thank you for your camaraderie, support, and outstanding professionalism, and I wish all of you the best of luck and good fortune in the days ahead.

Best,

Anastasia
