CoStar hires Lehrfeld as a reporter

Jonathan Lehrfeld

Jonathan Lehrfeld has been hired as a reporter for real estate news service CoStar News.

He previously worked as a reporter, as well as the editor of the “Early Bird Brief” morning newsletter, for Military Times.

Lehrfeld graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School in June 2022 with a Master of Science in Journalism. He graduated from the George Washington University in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and minors in business administration and political science.

He interned on Capitol Hill and at Special Olympics International.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
