Frank Pallotta, a media and entertainment business reporter at CNN, was laid off.
Pallotta tweets:
“Unfortunately, I was laid off by CNN yesterday, but looking back, I’m thrilled that I got to spend a decade covering something I love: the inner workings of Hollywood. I’m looking forward to doing that more in the future. But, in the meantime, I’m going to take some time to decompress and decide what’s next.”
He was an entertainment reporter at Business Insider, where he covered film, TV, music and pop culture. Previously, he worked at CNN from August 2012 to January 2014 as an entertainment writer, a role in which he wrote for CNN.com Entertainment’s Marquee Blog.
Pallotta has a B.A. from Syracuse University.
