Business Insider has hired Sarah Needleman as a leadership and workplace correspondent.

She most recently was a reporter for The Wall Street Journal’s technology bureau. Her coverage centered on videogame companies such as Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Take-Two Interactive Software, Roblox and Epic. She also frequently covered social-media platforms such as Reddit, Pinterest, X and Discord.

In 2022, Needleman received an honorable mention with WSJ colleagues for their coverage of workplace misconduct at Activision from the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing.

In her earlier years at the Journal, she covered small business and careers. She also wrote Accidental Entrepreneur, a monthly column on starting a business for the first time. She joined the paper in 2001, after working as a feature writer and paginator for the Home News & Tribune and the Princeton Packet.

Needleman graduated from Rutgers University in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
