
Craig Bengtson has been named president of CNBC International, replacing Deep Bagchee, who has taken a role at CNBC’s new parent company.
He has been vice president of global production, development and partnerships.
Bengtson joined CNBC in February 2018 as vice president of programming. He was responsible for the daily production of the network’s Business Day programs.
He previously worked at CBS News, ABC News and ESPN, where he was vice president and managing editor.
Bengtson has received multiple Emmy Awards, along with a Peabody Award for his work at ABC News on the coverage of Sept. 11, 2001, and an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award for his role as the Executive Producer in charge of the coverage of the death of Pope John Paul II and the election of Pope Benedict XVI. He also oversaw the news coverage of the death of President Ronald Reagan, the Asia Tsunami, and the capture of Saddam Hussein.
Bengtson graduated from the University of Maryland.
