
Axios has hired Bradley Olson to be managing editor of artificial intellignce and technology coverage.
Olson will lead a team reporting on the companies, people and rapidly evolving technologies reshaping business and society.
“Brad is an exceptional journalist and editor with deep experience covering AI and the biggest forces shaping the technology industry,” said Axios publisher Nicholas Johnston in a statement. “His expertise and leadership will help us continue to deliver ambitious, essential reporting as AI transforms nearly every corner of our world.”
Olson joins from The Wall Street Journal where he oversaw award-winning stories about nation-state hacking, tech companies and health-care startups. He recently shepherded the paper’s coverage of AI giants like OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as writing about a broad range of other topics.
Before becoming a tech editor, he covered energy, finance, politics and national security for the Journal, Bloomberg News and newspapers in Houston, Baltimore and Corpus Christi.
