I’m excited to announce that Katy Stech Ferek is joining Bloomberg Government today as an investigative reporter, where she will cover the evolution of government contracting under the Trump administration. She will work closely with BGOV’s contracting analysts, as well as BGOV’s budget and appropriations reporters.
Katy comes to us after 15 years at the Wall Street Journal, where she most recently covered Congress. She got her start there covering bankruptcy.
Katy is a DC resident who has three kids and two orange cats that her husband rescued from the Iraqi desert. She loves traveling, Midwestern culture, easy crossword puzzles and cooking new recipes – though she notes that she fell deeply short of her baking goals during her recent maternity leave.
