Laura Alix, a reporter at American Banker for the past five years, has been hired by Bank Director as director of research.
She previously covered regional and national banks and worked from Boston.
“It’ll be a little bit different from day-to-day news and analysis, but I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned covering the industry in a different context,” she wrote on Twitter.
Previously, Alix covered banking and financial services for Banker & Tradesman and the Commercial Record at The Warren Group, and she also worked as staff videographer.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree from Brooklyn College.
